I love dogs and ride with my two lab-heeler mixes River and Rocket almost every day. "Argos" was named after the protagonist's faithful dog in The Odyssey.
My goal was to build the best all-around onewheel from the parts that were available in 2024.
The build included a smart charger and the following parts:
- Thor300 Controller Box Complete (I went with anodized CNC instead of die-cast)
- Rear LED (sold separately)
- Superflux HS Mk II motor
Indy Speed Control p45b 20s2p Split Pack (includes Xlite v4 BMS and wiring harness)
- WTF BTG rails
- TORque Box
- BANG bumpers
Stocked Stock v4 Sensor (not recommended; v3 and v5 sensors are better)
Other parts per personal preference: Maxxis T18 11x6.5-6 treaded tire, Platypus footpads, Life Saver rim guards, Dragan toe hooks.
This is my personal Thor300-based VESC and it easily gets my 225 lbs. over 30 mph, crushes steep hills, and shreds trails. I was so happy with how it turned out that I built three more nearly-identical VESCs to share the stoke with the homies.
